David Hardten

President

David Hardten has long been passionate about wine, and shares this passion with his wife Christine. Together they decided to invest in their love for wine by starting Hardten Family Vineyards.

Michael Wolf

Vineyard Manager (2019-2025)

Mike Wolf discovered his agricultural vocation in 1972 while helping a friend raise pears, prunes, and grapes on a family farm in Mendocino County. His experiences with those first crops soon developed into an agricultural philosophy: farming is a process, not an event, and farmers and viticulturists who set out to conquer nature inevitably lose. Mike believes wine is affected by every person who has a hand in its making. With forty-plus years’ experience developing and managing California vineyards, his farming company lists many of Napa Valley’s leading independent growers and wineries as clients. Since 1987, Mike has been a board trustee of the California Grower Foundation, and a board member of Napa Valley Grape Growers and Napa Valley Farmworkers Foundation.

Christine Hardten

Director of Operations

Christine Hardten has long been passionate about wine, and shares this passion with her husband David. Together they decided to invest in their love for wine by starting Hardten Family Vineyards. 

Patrick Saboe

Winemaker (2019 Vintage)

Patrick Saboe’s passion for winemaking started in 1996 on his honeymoon to the California wine country. Saboe attended U.C. Davis where he studied Enology and Viticulture, after which he worked for various premium labels alongside renowned winemakers producing multiple award-winning wines. Saboe now serves as the Director of Winemaking at Foundry Wines, as well as Consulting Winemaker to several brands in the Napa and Sonoma regions.
